Fred's Bourbon Sour

Author: Fred L'Imposteur

Story behind this cocktail

I've always liked Whisky Sour but spiced it up with our L'Imposteur Wheat Bourbon brought my favorite drink to the next level. The charred Rosemary just blends perfectly with the woody scent of our Bourbon, although when I feel lazy, I skip the charring or just take it plain. It still works just fine!

Ingredient(s)

  • 2 oz (60 ml) of L'Imposteur Wheat Bourbon
  • 1/2 oz (15 ml) of lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz (15 ml) of honey
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) of ice cubes
  • 1 small sprig of fresh rosemary (optional)

Recipe

In a cocktail shaker, combine L'Imposteur Wheat Bourbon with the lemon juice and honey. Shake vigorously until the honey has dissolved. Add the ice cubes and shake again. Pour the mixture with the ice cubes into a glass.

To make it "next level", on a baking sheet, lightly char the rosemary with a culinary torch or broil it for 1 or 2 minutes then place in the glass. Using fresh rosemary works just fine too if you don't want to go through the trouble of charring.
